Hi, can someone please clarify for me, whether I can use the AudioTX Communicator.

I have a PC with an ADSL connection, and a pro ASIO audio sound card. Using the AudioTX Communicator can I connect to an ISDN-equipped studio?

Thanks!

Hello,

You will need an ISDN line if you want to connect with to ISDN equipped studios (to codecs like the CDQ Prima or Telos Zephyr to name just two). This is not a shortcoming of AudioTX - it is just not possible to connect to an ISDN codec directly from an ADSL connection.

Due to its low price and easy operation AudioTX Communicator is a very cost effective codec – ISDN will give you the possibility and flexibility to connect to different ISDN studios for your sessions.

ADSL is a good option if you often make connections to the same people – when you are both on ADSL you (both!) can save a lot on your connection costs. Plus of course the added benefit of using a higher bitrate, which will give you a higher audio quality.

Best regards,
