Thanks for the response. The TA is correct for the unit (TA301). I also get a solid green ISDN ready light on the TA so it's seeing the line ok. I'm sure it's in a configuration issue that I'm missing. I know that the RR also likes the "000" at the end of the SPIDs and have tried different iterations of that as well. The menu is a little weird compared to others so I'll probably keep going through different values to see what happens. Thanks.

Hi Northend,

The Prima line of codecs (of which the Roadrunner is one) used different ISDN terminal adapters (TAs) for different localities. For example, you would use a different TA in Europe than you'd use in the USA.

It is possible your unit has the wrong TA for US use?

Best regards,

Edwin

Musicam Roadrunner question. I have an Xstream that I use on a regular basis and picked up a Roadrunner as a backup. I've gone through the configuration several times and cannot get it to accept or make calls. I've tried every iteration of the SPIDS with eavery numerical suffix (configured like the Xstream with 0100)...7 digit ID numbers, Ni1, etc. Is there something else that needs configuring that I'm missing? I've double checked everything. ISDN line is fine.

Hello,

The only Prima LT I'm familiar with are the purple boxes with the yellow buttons made by Musicam USA. These don't feature any Ethernet network ports and are ISDN devices only. If you have one of those then you won't be able to use them to transport audio over Ethernet I'm afraid.

Best regards,

Edwin.

Hi
Hoping someone can answer a question for me.
Is it possible to connect two Prima LT units using the ethernet connection on a local network without any ISDN lines? Trying to send/receive audio between two studios in the same building without massive cable runs. Just require the unit to send audio out on the ethernet port. Hope that makes sense!

6  General / Techical support / CDQ Prima 110 wont frame

I have very limited knowledge of this codec despite having used one successfully for years (mostly incoming connections) I have just acquired a prima 110 which despite assurances was in full working order, will not frame incoming calls. Boots up normally. Brief displays of 'call received on line one...line two' on LCD display as usual detecting incoming calls, but apparently will not frame. As an aside..punching in the speed dial 27 (that previously I have selected to configure with Telos Zephyrs) and speed dial 1 that I have used to return to normal operation, are both greeted with the message 'SD ID NOT FOUND' on display. I have no idea specifically what tasks the codec has been used for previously. Any suggestions as to how to solve this would be appreciated. Is this a set-up issue? or a software problem? or a major hardware fault?

Hello Karl,

Unfortunately not, since the USB parallel port is not a "real" parallel port, but an emulated one. Having said that, what does work reliably is a parallel port PCI or PCIe card. And these don't seem to be too expensive either.

Edwin.

Just a quickie..

If you have audiotx that uses one of the parallel port inputs, will this work if you connect via a parallel port to usb adapter ?

Just a query ?

AudioTX Communicator will work fine with Windows 7 - the 32 bits version as well as the 64 bits version.

Please note that you may need to check with the manufacturers of the hardware in your PC to see if they provide 64 bits drivers if you go that route. A lot of the 32 bits XP drivers will work fine in Windows 7 32 bits, but for the 64 bits version you will need 64 bits drivers as 32 bits drivers are not supported by the 64 bits version of Windows 7.

I'm currently using Windows XP, and as they are no longer providing support for this after April 2014.

I need to upgrade my o/s to Windows 7..

which version of this does Audio tx work with, either 32 bit or 64 bit.

Please advise soonest.

Thanks
