Talkback using Audio TX Communicator (Read 7990 times)

I am setting up an ISDN connection to record voice over artists using Audio TX Communicator. How do I communicate with the VO artist? Do I simply plug a call centre style head set into my PC (via the soundcard obviously) and speak/listen through that or is other hardware/software required. Also, do ISDN cards have a mic input and aswell as a headphone output so that you can communicate with the VO artist?
Thanks, Tom.

All ISDN codecs (including the Communicator system) are bi-directional.  So they send your voice (from the audio input) to the remote studio, and receive the talkback from the remote studio (which appears at the audio output).

As a professional V/O, to use Communicator (which is a very good choice -  we spec almost all V/O studios with this system nowadays), you will need:

1. AudioTX Communicator on a Windows 2000 or XP PC
2. A professional quality Mic & Headphones
3. Either a professional grade mic-preamp & headphone amp (the option we supply in packages) or a small mixing desk with a clean-feed capability
4. An ISDN line (obviously!)

We can help with all of this... and professional installation if you wish.

Best,

Mo
