Title: Remote recording
Post by From the old message board on May 24th, 2004 at 3:14pm
Hi, We're a localisation company who are looking into the possibility of controlling a voiceover session in London from our studios in Dublin.
We're basically starting from scratch on this and would really appreciate any help we could get from anyone, with regards equipment, how to go about it, etc.

Please any help at all would be great.

Thanks

Hello -

You'll need a fairly simple setup - either a codec box like the CDQ Prima or software like AudioTX Communicator (this is the cheaper and newer solution).

Both of these will allow you to connect to almost all voice-overs and production studios worldwide. Basically an ISDN codec link gives you a live, bi-directional, high quality audio connection, so that you get the voice-over's contribution coming to you one way and the feed from you to them is normally talkback or direction of the voice.

With both systems you can expect broadcast quality audio and what should be the perfect solution for your application.

If you do have more specific questions, do send us an email at sales@isdnaudio.com.
